With a little more than a month from the annual flagship event of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc. – the 18th Davao Agri-Trade Expo (DATE), it’s great to know who you would be expecting to be part of the said event.
The conduct of DATE 2016 is supported by its long-time event partners: Local Government Unit of Davao City, Department of Agriculture, Department of Trade & Industry, Mindanao Development Authority, and Philippine Coconut Authority.
At present, there are three Platinum Sponsors who would be occupying the trade exhibit’s pavilions. These companies are – Mega Harbour Port & Development Inc.; Anflo Management and Investment Corporation (ANFLOCOR); and DMI Medical Supply Co., Inc.
Mega Harbour, the proponent of the reclamation project in Davao City, is expected to set-up a unique booth arrangement during DATE to let Davaoeños know more about the P40-billion project. According to the plan, Mega Harbour will begin with the reclamation of four islands.
The ANFLOCOR group, a company that oversees various businesses, joint ventures, and allied services or expansion of existing businesses, is in full-support towards the conduct of DATE as they will be bringing in Damosa Land, Davao Packaging Corporation, Davao International Container Terminal, Inc., ANFLO Industrial Estate, and Sea Wind.
DMI, a fast growing company with diverse business dealings – from selling Pharmaceutical Products to the distribution of the high quality Natural Food Supplement and organic beverages – will present their wide array of products that are available not only in the Philippines but also abroad.
There are also three Gold Sponsors who will occupy the corporate highway booths for the said expo. These are Vitarich Corporation, Cargill Philippines Inc., and the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD).
Vitarich is engaged in the feed and livestock operations in plants located throughout the Philippines. They produce hog, poultry, aqua, and other specialty feed requirements for our livestock operations.
Cargill has a big range of clout in the agriculture sector. They are involved in grain and oilseed originating and processing; commercial feed manufacturing; and texturing and sweeteners solutions for food and beverage applications.
DOST – PCAARRD is a government agency that focuses on research and development on agriculture, forestry, and natural resources.
Also in full support of DATE 2016 are its Silver Sponsors (Land Bank of the Philippines; Bank of the Philippine Islands; PLDT SME Nation; and Davao Light and Power Company) – all of which will be present during the exhibit in their mini-pavilions.
The Copper Sponsors (Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corporation and Perfect Milling Corporation) and Media and Promotion Partners (GMA, Marid Agribusiness, M Magazine, Photodynamic Copier, APM, Prime Billboards, and Mega Reach PR & Marketing Communications Co.) are also expected to be around for the three-day expo.
And of course, our beloved President who is from Davao City, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is invited and we are hoping that he will grace this year’s DATE like what he did with the previous years.
The 18th Davao Agri-Trade Expo will be on September 22-24, 2016 at SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang Premier, Davao City.
